Am I Blue?

I am, frankly, sick of winter. Shocking, I know. Sick of sitting inside, with my wet hair wrapped up in a towel, looking out of the window at the frozen "ick" outside. Sick of finding cool indoor things to do; shopping, drinking coffee, organizing my clothing and accessories again, watching vintage "glamour" movies, ect.. I need to simply go outside and feel the warm sun on my face, my hair, my arms, my feet. I want to feel a warm breeze blowing through my over-conditioned hair. I want to see little light green shoots and buds everywhere I look. I want to sip wine and play my guitar in my yard underneath the big pines. And watch my neighbor's cat hunt.
Am I blue? Honestly now...aren't you?

I love the sketch.
Sorry you're a little down - it makes a lot of sense.

(But, as I live in California and it was, er, not so cold today, I'll keep my head down, and just say 'hi')

You're in good company. My blue mood hit last Friday. I was mad at the world. The sun was shining in the cold, tricky way it does in February where I live. One thinks one smells spring in the air, but it's truly not here yet, and won't be for several weeks. Last week was just a teaser. And when the snow comes again in March, April, May or even June, everybody gets really pissy (including moi).

I'm loving the colorful posts online as well as the camaraderie with people in other springless places. And just knowing how much I'm going to soak up that springtime when it comes...hang in there!

Vic: Soooo, the weather there is gorgeous eh? Hi kind of you not to say. It's smart of you to keep your head down; I tend to throw things when I get like this.

Sallymandy: You nailed it! That's exactly how it is here. And you are so right about how supportive our on line friends are. I was drawn in to the blogging scene for the fashion, but what I found was "family".

Vic: I meant to say "How" not "Hi". I haven't had my coffee yet.

CC: You are not weird in my book, extremely cute, but not weird. I love looking at your photos. My sister-in-law keeps pestering me to come to the city, I should. xo

Yes, yes and yes. I'm done with winter in the first week of January. Especially this one. I like the expression in the sketch.
