Honesty

I'll be honest here, these images are probably more for me than for you. They're out of an old Urban Outfitters catalog. I just love them, 25 years from now they'll be classic. I don't really know why I love them, I just do. Water symbolizes cleansing in some cultures. All right, smarty pants, I know you clean with water. But what I mean is, cleansing like a fresh start. I have no imagination today. It's been a busy week-end, spilling over into my Monday (or Merdey as I am fond of calling it). So rather than expose you to some mindless crap that I'm coming up with for the sake of fashion or wit, I'm putting up these two photos that really touch me right now. There you have it......As you were. xo

You always find the most interesting pics, Diane. Love the first one, I'm a sucker for black & white photo's at the best of times but that one has lots of energy too that keeps the eye drawn.

The second one is almost surreal, I sat looking at it for ages trying to figure out what it was telling me ... still not sure, but maybe I'm trying too hard. Maybe it should just be enjoyed for it's own sake.

Merdey ! What a great name for Mondays...Merdey's used to be terrible for me too...even my Sundays were always a bit ruined because of that terrible that would follow...I guess that's why now, I've made it my "day off" and now I really look forward to Merdey's...everything is more relaxed and quiet in Antwerp, not too many people around, kids in school, so no whining from children that had enough of shopping on busy Saturdays..and thebest part of all, Lindsay my hairdresser is open (as most hairdressers are closed on M-days + my best friend is free to go out with me to get in trouble...:-))
Did I tell you she's American too actually ?

Girl Interrupted: I think they are telling you to enjoy your womanhood. It's just a guess.

Dominica: Gee, what a surprise that your bff is American. I must say, I'm a little disappointed, I thought we had a good thing going here. I'm just kidding. If I ever get over that way, I would love to do the coffee and shopping thing with you.

@Diane

well, you're more than welcome !!
Now I have a bff down here and a bff overseas !! Good for me !
About the comments..I'm very demure because I sometimes write a comment that's a bit fierce or OTT - I erase it and start all over again with something a bit more nice...I always look the cat out of the tree first ; when I'm sure, a can get really nasty - you'll be glad to get rid of me ..:-))
Love their blogs btw, so thanks for sharing them with me !

Dominica: Thanks, I feel so much better now. Besides your blog, "That Blue Yak" and "What Were You Thinking?" are the first ones I go to, they make me laugh so much.

lol thanks Diane :P ... I read your blog first thing in the morning while I'm getting ready for work and still half asleep ... any kind of thought process is a struggle tbh

these pictures are absolutely stunning, Diane. fashion doesn't always have to be that complicated. i only know how we're working, and actually reproducing collections we invented 20 years ago...

I love the photos. I wish I could find a bathing suit that looks like the top one.
