Supermodel

Just a reminder for the younger set: The term "supermodel" comes from a handful of women. Christy Turlington was one of the top three, along with Evangelista and Campbell, for a very good reason. She was great in motion, and breathtaking sitting still. Models holding court were Crawford, Tatiana, Harlow, Schiffer, Seymour, Helena C., Moss, Valletta, and Auermann. Click on the title - Supermodel - for a surprise. Enjoy!

man this seems like forever ago, the Age of the Supermodel. it's getting more eclectic every year but skinnier, so it's not really better.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the jacket C. is wearing the (one before the last) picture down...
I've been trying to find out the label...and my guess is D&G or Lanvin..(I've clicked on your pics to read the comment and tryed to puzzle those pages together like they would be in a magazine...how crazy am I ..)
It looks exactly like my scarf (well, the print ...)
..
Ahum, about the GOOF hair treatment...I was thinking more red nose, curly green wig and a funny farty noise each time the scissors hit your hair ...

Maggie May: Welcome. The supermodels made it o.k. to be curvier (like we needed permission), especially Crawford. Sophie Dahl was one of my favorites, too.

Dominica: The leopard-print dress with matching scarf is Louis Vuitton, $2,414. Isn't your scarf Vuitton?
The hair appointment sounds like fun, sign me up!

La C: By now you've figured out that these are vintage, August Vogue 2006. I have some older shots, waaaay older, but I can't find them at the moment.

Girl Interrupted: The wool crepe dress is Donna Karan, $4,500. She really is very elegant. I'm sorry about the video, it's Freedom 90.

Dennis: Really? I'm surprised you don't remember Claudia Schiffer. Crawford's a good one to remember though.

IAMTHEANGELNEGRO: Welcome. I think it's safe to say we all love that print.

For those of you who keep referring to me as "classy", which I am somewhat, go to the blog of Pretty Little Pictures and you will see what a true class act really is. Her blog is adorable.
