Stop Thinking About It, Just Do It.

If you're driving around on the back roads of Solebury, Pa., you will see this tree. My mother-in-law provided the face, because she's a free spirit and felt moved to do it. It's one of the cool things about her, and I can't help but wonder how many children saw that tree from the back seat of their parent's car and had their imaginations set a glow.

How joyous and exciting to be looking at a tree like this. I want to always have this kind of spirit like your mother in law!

Little scary too, if you would pass by at night ...but then again, nothing scares me more than seeing Michael Jackson at 11PM in a forest !!

Makes me think of the talking trees out of those old cartoons. Cool..this might be your inspiration for writing that chidren's book you always wanted to write.

Dooder: She's done some great art over the years.

Dominica: Haha, it does remind me a little of wacko jacko, come to think of it.

Elizabeth Marie: Fun is just how we roll here.

JFK Jean: Come on, you're a NY boy, aren't you? I thought you were tougher than that.

Cait: Me too. It does look like it could talk, or maybe chuck an apple at you.

(whispering)SkyersDad, we're coming to get you.

Frances: If you ever come out this way, I'll tell you where it is.

becca: Thanks. Cute Hubby actually took these photos, after The Party, while I was waiting in the car at a stop sign, with a line of cars behind me. Good times.

that´s a good way of making fun of children. but I bet some of the kids would cry. I would´ve cried if I was like...4. I´ll probably have thoughts like: ´The tree is going to haunt me to my bedroom´.

I think all trees have a face! This one is more beautiful, though! I wish I could give it a hug!

Hugs!!

Pru: You should definately paint all of your trees. Have some wine first.

Phat Mama: Totally.

Drollgirl: She is too cool for words, honestly. With regards to my fantastic week-end, I'll be watching my grand daughter on Saturday & working on Sunday, sigh.

JD: I bet you were completely adorable when you were little. I was afraid of the trees outside of my house too.

TraceyTreasure: Are you a tree hugger? I am. I talk to them and give them little "pats".

Thanks for the note. Hope you have a good weekend.

lol Oh that's so cool! I love trees, and I think you can always see a face or some kind of form if you look closely enough. It would have totally enchanted me to see that, especially as a child.

Trees do become creepy and sinister at night though.

I think I read too many Narnia stories :P
