Crumbling Real Estate

You can tell by looking at them, that these buildings were all interesting and kind of cool at one time. So sad that they are crumbling away.
I think some of the locals might have a little hostility towards the real estate market in this area. I don't know, I'm just guessing.

hahahaaa...

It is sad to see how these areas are. We have several in our area. Some developers are coming in and making lofts in the downtown factories or either crashing them make parking lots. But there are a few that still have business actually in them. Like the Mystery Specialist which is a great mystery book store.

Thanks for the note. Love the pictures. Hope you had a wonderful weekend.

Maybe "hostility" is being a little too kind, judging from that real estate photo. Love the the first photo. Chop the second floor and you have an old style saloon....

Haha I read Fat Pabozzi at first ! LOL
Am I glad there's no pics hanging around here from me ! During election times, I have seen some great 'make-overs' (they always happen overnight, why would THAT be ?) :-)
I should have taken before and after pics of that ! Will try to remember that next time !

As for the buildings, I totally agree ! Sometimes you see the most beautiful houses with some great potential ! I think I love old houses more than the new ones. Yesterday I saw some interior pics of a house that was for sale ; you just wouldn't believe how grand it was. A guy standing next to me looking at the pics too was saying, it didn't show from the outside ! Everybody was doing their Oh's and Ah's whilst looking at that house !
Could play and make an appointment to get in once and then take some pics ...

Cait: There's a factory at the end of Lambertville, NJ, called the Laceworks. It's been renovated and has stores and an art gallery now. I love to go to shops in "saved" buildings.

Tracey: I know, right?

JFK Jean: You have such a good eye for these things, I never would have thought of that.

Dominica: I would love to see photos of that house. I think it's really smart not to draw a lot of attention to the outside of a building.

JD: There are a lot of really big buildings around here. Unfortunately, my house is not one of them, as it was built for hobbits.
