Blow Me Away

Sometimes you don't really know how much you'll miss something until it's gone, like a blow dryer. I have a friend who's blow dryer broke, so she wound up blow drying her hair in front of a fan. I tried to sketch a picture of what this might look like, but I had to give up because my hand kept shaking from laughing. So instead I found a few photos of what your hair might look like if you couldn't blow dry it.

Oh Diane, You have me laughing out loud again! Those pictures are hysterical. What makes a person decide on a "look" like that anyway? And lord help them in a wind storm :-)

Joanna J: I've never seen an elderly person with hair like that. It's only for the young and restless.

Dennis: Seriously, they're pretty funny.

Jasmina: I hardly ever use one either. Just in the winter, mostly.

Mo S: Come on, you should be used to stuff like that. Didn't these styles originate where you live?

Jesse: Nice to have you back, you were missed.

Dominica: If I had an award for the funniest comment, you would get it.

PS I only use my blowdryer in Winter for my body, when it's cold...I love the way your body responds to the warmth ...

Dominica: I love that too. I do dry my hair in the winter. We get sub zero temperatures here, so it's mandatory.

Blow dryers are so bad for my hair since it is so dry. I learned that from high school when I had to have 'perfect hair' and it would always look like my ends were like brittle. I don't know if I ever put that photo of me wearing your long sleeve onmy post:( Ugh! I am such a bad friend! I will soon:)

I hope you have a great weekend. Tomorrow I am going to the Dark Star Orchestra show to dance and hang with buddies...really excited.

These pictures remind me of the kids I'd see on St. Marks Place in New York (East Village) that would walk around in full - on punk rawk gear and they'd have the craziest hawks you'd ever seen in your life!

SkylersDad: Now you can feel the breeze blowing through your...arms.

Jules: Just wait until you're older. You'll have back ups for all kinds of things.

Miriam: Favorites? No, no, no.

Dooder City: You're not a bad friend, you're just young.

Queen of Hearts: I remember stuff like that too, from back in the day. Now I feel old all of sudden.

That sounds like me..blowing my hair in front of a fan. when I see these stlyes..makes me think of Adam Broady's hair in Son of Sam. What a peculair movie.

Thanks for the note. I have a friend that I work with who's grand-daughter has her wedding date set and they have found her dress at a vintage thrift shop.

Oh..awkward moment..I saw my boyfriend's brother in the buff..& all this time my boyfriend was afraid his brother would see me. I had to wear this funky housecoat around all the time. He'll be leaving for the Marines this weekend.

they definitely look like they didn't blow-dry their hair, looks more like they stuck their fingers into the electrical socket! :P

I wonder how many hours it takes to get that kinda hair. I actually can't imagine guys standing in front of the mirror for an hour. :P
