Domi: I love that poster too. I always relate great jazz with big cities.
The Peach Tart: Absolutely beautiful voices. The first time I heard Nina Simone was in a cafe in France. The bartender let me take the tape home and make a copy, I still have it.
Gary: I kind of always thought the word diva applied to a type of bad behavior. They are all super, none the less.
Dooder C: I'm glad to hear that you are feeling better. Maybe you can make this color work for you until it's safe to change it. Etta's version of At Last blows my socks off. The title of the post is from one of her other songs.
"I Put A Spell On You" by Nina Simone, "Strange Fruit" by Billie Holliday, "Mad About The Boy" by Dinah Washington, "At Last" by Etta James, "Never Loved A Man" by Aretha Franklin and "Summertime" by Ella Fitzgerald are classics I could listen to over and over again, they give me goosebumps they're so good.
Also love the painting of the ballet dancer, just beautiful.
