A Few Pics of our Feast

Here is a shot of our yard in autumn, wet with rain. So, the bottom of the photo shows some of our newly planted blueberry bushes. I hope they make it through the winter.

Here are some pictures of Thanksgiving, at my son's place. His girlfriend did a great job of cooking and hostessing, quite impressive. They're in a different place, and this was the first time I had been to visit them there. Such a beautiful little place they have. I could easily imagine how nice it must be to wake up and have coffee in the kitchen.

Babyzilla didn't make it to the Thanksgiving dinner, she was home sick with her mother. She didn't seem to mind hanging out in her pajamas for a few days. I love this photo of Babyzilla, even though it's a bit blurry, because I think the light around her head looks like a halo.

I'm very excited, because Tuesday is the day I get to decorate the Christmas tree with Babyzilla. It's the only thing that's not done yet, I've been saving it just for her.

the sweets look yummy

Mo.: Yes, she'll be the angel on the top.

The Peach Tart: My MIL made the ice box cookies. I made the peach pie from scratch. The other pie was raspberry crumb. I only had a piece of one of the chocolate chip cookies. Maybe that's because I had 3 icebox cookies, 2 pieces of peach pie, and a piece of raspberry crumb pie first.
(could be)

I hope you have fun decorating your tree! She does look as if she's sporting a halo!

blueviolet: We just finished, all except the lights (how *ss backwards is that?). The lights from last year weren't working, so we just went ahead. I'll have to carefully string the lights through the decorations when I get some new ones.

Chris: I hope you mean the treats, the tree isn't mine.

The food looks yummy! Will your daughter-in-law give you her recipes?
BabyZ is so cute, even thought she's fuzzy.

Looks like Babyzilla has a halo. She looks like an angel.

Lovely pics of the food. It was almost too pretty to eat, huh? I said ALMOST! Looks like a beautiful home too from what I can see.

Hugs!!

I want to dive into those sweets and stuff my face and not share any. It sounded like a great time!

She does look the angel!

In the photo of people gathered 'round the table, there's that "we're all on good behavior and have chosen our clothes carefully" vibe.

Hey, How'd I miss this post... Sorry to be late to the party.

That looked like one fine Thanksgiving feast you had! YUM.

Hope Babyzilla is feeling better and your tree trimming was grand. Can't wait to see the pictures :-)

Joanna: If you are late, then you are fashionably so. I just realized that I only included photos of treats, haha, no turkey or veggies. I wonder what that says about me?
The tree trimming was a success, I'll post some pics soon. How goes it with you? Wait, I'm coming over.

Drolly: It was fun. I'll post a pic of the tree soon. I bet you're excited about having your Christmas tree in the same room with your new sofa (I'm just guessing).

Marian: I share in your excitement of the season. It's such a great time to be a girl, because we get to decorate even more than usual. You can come over for Thanksgiving if I can come over there for New Year's Eve.
