"Ah the Stroke of Midnight" she whispered. "Today Holds the Promise of a Sad and Joyous Day". And Then She Softly Blew Out the Candle.

Those pics are exactly how I feel about birthdays-- But when I got tot he last one I smiled. Drop in the bucket is a fresh way to look at it. Thanks,
jj

Lovely photos. Doesn't every day hold that same promise?

Joanna: It's all a drop in the bucket, you are right.

Domi: Rings true?

Marian: Thank you honey. Have a wonderful week too.

Dedene: Some days more than others.

Honey, leme tell ya, once you get to be 259 years old like me, you don't even notice birthdays anymore. It's just another day, and everyday is a blessing anyway, right?

Although I do fondly recall 87th birthday which was spent banging Grover Cleavland. Or maybe it was Millard Fillmore? Anyway, it was one of our more forgettable presidents, although his trouser snake was impossible to forget if you know what I mean..wink, wink.

The third pic is my fav.

Pru: How have you been? It's got nothing to do with birthdays, that was Joanna's take on it. It's about a day filled with both sadness and joy. That's where the photos come in. If you mean the woman with the wine glass, that's my favorite one too.
