I'm far too young to remember any of these. No, when I was a kid I had a transistor AM radio, I would put it under my pillow at night, pretend to be asleep and listen. The Motown sound was one of my favorite.
Tex, I had forgotten all about my transistor. I used to love to take long walks early in the morning before my parents were up, listening to my radio. Everything was a bit of a disappointment after Motown.
