when i lived outside the city (about 15 years ago), the street I was living in had the same idea of how to 'lighten up' Christmas. It was the only street in our little village that could have guided an airplane into landing safely. It was like a competition ; wich house was the best at Christmas deco. In the city it's more demure and the best thing I like is when they decorate 'naked leafless' trees with lights ; they look awesome when it gets dark !

I like to look at Christmas lights. I prefer individual houses (like your pics) better than big organized lights.
