Dominica: O.k., I'll be completely honest - in my living room are two overstuffed sofas, we don't even have chairs in there. So my "suffering" line is really hypocritical bullsh*t intended for others, not me.

I love the bench and chairs in the first two pictures (I like organic materials ). The last couple, I agree look a bit severe, but this stuff appeals to me. So spare, and nice clean lines.
Sigh.

I think they use the metal chair at Gitmo to make the prisoners talk.

Your note made me laugh. I don't know why, it made me think of this article I remember reading in an old magazine I found at a booksale about the bread they made daily at this commune. & you had to make it barefooted..just because..I guess.

what beautiful pieces! thanks so much for the lovely comment on blog. and for what it's worth, don't cut your hair short! i think long hair is so beautiful and it's such a shame when women over 40 chop theirs off. why not just get a fun, stylish bob, to just above the shoulders... or even something super layered to make it more manageable/less dry. hope i'm not being too forward...
