Grumpy

My oldest daughter cooked a yummy eggplant parm. from my youngest daughter's recipe. So, we were just finishing dinner, while listening to Janis Ian's Between the Lines, when Cute Hubby came into the kitchen. He missed dinner because he was being an internet zombie. He only came in to roll himself a cigarette on top of the kitchen table.
Cute Hubby: Is this Janis Ian?
Me: Yep.
Cute Hubby: I thought so, she's so depressing.
Me: It's girl music.
Cute Hubby: What do you mean?
Me: Most women love Janis Ian, and don't think she's depressing. She validates our emotions. It's like the Vagina Monologues set to music.
Cute Hubby: Exactly. (gets up & goes outside to smoke)

One more ninja marriage point for me, I think.

Totally unrelated: One of my favorite customers passed away this morning. He was our local radio station's Oldies disc jockey, and went by the nickname of Grumpy. We don't know yet which "natural" cause it was that did him in, but it was surely through no fault of his own. At 62, he was the picture of health, from a diet of fresh fruit and veggies, and self proclaimed "working out". We'll all miss his funny sense of humor, and sincere compliments. If you click on the title - Grumpy - you will get your video treat, but it's not really for you. This one's for you, Grumpy, rest in peace.

Lol, does cute Hubby ever get a ninja point? It's a rhetorical question because I know there's no way your gonna say yes.... and rest in peace to Grumpy

My heart goes out to Grumpy's friends and family.

It's funny relating to your story because I put on Kate Bush and my boyfriend kind of looks at me sideways and I am like, "You just don't understand her because you are not a woman" I think I impressed him when I said that David Gilmour of Pink Floyd discovered her.

She is pure magic to me.

JFK Jean: I'm not sure if I won this round. Cute Hubby wins a lot, I guess that's why I married him.

TraceyTreasure: Your hugs are the best.

Dominica: Yay!! We'll be on the look out for that package. And Kate Bush, OMG!! Love her, she brings me back to the days of Lena Lovitch and Nena Hagen. As far as the bendy thing, there may be a video in the works on that one, haha.

Dooder City: Look up Lena Lovitch or Nena Hagen, you'll be floored.

La C: I can't wait to read your list.
