Lucio Fulci's "The Gates of Hell"

Dr. Zibbs of That Blue Yak and I were recently agreeing that the cinemas should play old horror pictures. Notice the playbill for what's playing, no great shakes there. But taped up in the front window is a sign for Lucio Fulci's "The Gates of Hell". Go ahead and click to enlarge the image, I'll wait...............Looks pretty good, right? Lucio Fulci is one of the old italian horror masters, right up there with Dario Argento and Mario Bava.
I've been watching horror movies for a long time, and consider myself somewhat of connoisseur, but I have NEVER seen one of the italian greats on the big screen.
For you local yocals, mark your calendar for Saturday June 20th, at 9:30 p.m., but you'll want to get there early.

I think I've only heard about it in a documentary. Sounds like a must see!

Oh..thanks for the note. Perhaps Parker just thinks he can say anything to Charlotte. Although, he's far from the co-worker who talks trash far more than in this scene. Argh, I try not to be around that co-worker. Especially, when he has to tell us everything he did with the girl he met in Seattle while his girlfriend was still at home.

I'm a big fat chicken. I can't do horror movies. I spend the entire time with my hands over my eyes :-(

Drollgirl: How about a review right now? It's gory.

Cait: I hear the maggot swarm is not to be missed.

I don't even know what to say about the guy who betrayed his girl and bragged about it. He's lower than pond scum.

I don't mind a horror movie. As long as the girl with me is a scaredy cat, I'm game for it hehe.....

Joanna: I'm a chicken too. I love the old campy ones, that were done before "special effects".

Tracey: I'm not sure if it's a reason for celebration, I wouldn't go that far. I'm really happy though, that the theater saw fit to display an older horror masterpiece.

JFK Jean: Leave it to you to put it all into "manly" perspective. You are too cute.

After my Black Sheap experience, I'm done with horror for 1 year but I have to admit, it's fun when I see one & my daughter is sitting next to me !
Her comments are even better than the movie itself !
