Due to the boring content of New York magazine June 17, 2013 Issue, there is no "best of". Go watch the 2011 documentary "God Save My Shoes" instead.
God Save My Shoes is the first documentary film to explore the intimate
relationship between women and shoes, questioning why shoes are the most
addictive item in a woman's closet and how shoes have become a totem
object.
I haven't watched it yet, but I can relate more than most men, I think. I look at it from a more practical point of view, like "It's raining, I'll wear my good boots." or "It's hot, I'm wearing my breathable tennis shoes." etc. It is nice to have a lot of choices.
I hardly ever find the occasion to wear my stiletto heels though. ;)

How on earth could I have missed this film! What a great subject matter. I'm off to see if it's on NetFlix yet.
Hope you're having a grand weekend. xo jj
Tex, you always have a surprising male viewpoint, haha.
Joanna, it's on Netflix, along with a slew of fashion movies. I'm currently watching one on Halston.
