Embracing the 60's - Now & Then, Can You Tell The Difference?

The biggest and most obvious piece of information that is being omitted from fashion trends; we are back in the 60's, hooray! xo

I love that we've come back around to the '60's aesthetic (not so much the Austin Powers camp). I have an affinity for the style of the '60's - maybe it's the decade I was born in.

I mean maybe BECAUSE it was the decade I was born in. It's not really a matter for debate...:)

Seeing Bardot in the first picture, I just now realise how much older she is now, isn't it strange that mankind goes through all these stages?

60's photos, only the characteristics of hair are not the same, no different from other.

Vic: And you told me you didn't know anything about fashion, just look at those "fashiony" words like aesthetic and camp. You were right the first time, always leave people guessing as to what decade you were born in.

TMWKTM: I know, when I was looking for a good photo of her, I came across a few that were not so flattering. She was always just as beautiful spiritually though, very nice person actually.

Skywind: Hey, where have you been? I was worried about you, and when I tried to leave a comment on your page, of course it wouldn't let me. Man, it's tough being verification box challenged (vbc).

i love the 60's....i love george harrison and patti boyd.

also, about your comment about that guy asking me how much i spend on fashion magazines hehehe i responded that i spend zero bucks on fashion magazines. i am more interested in giving money to national geographic for a subscription and to help animals. i just will look at fashion magazines in stores and then look online.

i don't know how he feels about that answer.

Love the 60's look, it's one that can evolve time and time again without getting tired.

Kate Moss looks beautiful in that pic too ... sometimes I wish I were brave enough to go blonde :(

Yeah, fashion is always going retro.

What are we going to see in the future?? We can't have a retro-collection forever!! What are we gonna see in the year 3000? Still 60's inspiration?

People in the 50's, 60's and 70's were so beautiful. It's unreal. Especially women. They were extremely sexy and beautiful at the same time.
The faces of humans are changing each decade as well. There's something about those ladies in the '20s. They're faces...haha.

Dooder City: Patti Boyd! That's who that is, thanks.
Good answer about the magazines! You probably made him feel guilty as h*ll.

Girl Interrupted: It never gets tired because it's foundation is love.
I was blonde once, I looked like a transvestite.

Cait: The 60's influence is very timely, what with everyone being as poor as hippies and all.

Dominica: No, that is not me, it's actually a shot taken outside of a cafe in England in 1966; gotcha!
Don't feel bad, my own daughter thought that was me.

JD: Good call! I think you're on to something here, people really do change over time. It can't be just the change in make-up that makes these women look so different.

La C: Having just finished your theater experience, you must feel the "revival" more than the rest of us. :)

Jack Daniel is so on with what he said, sure nothing was perfect back then but things were much better as far as culture goes, musically, socially, you name it. I'm extremely happy the 60's aesthetic are back and if you know better, it'll come back every now and then.

Love the George and Patti pics as well

Drollgirl: You are a very hip chick.

JFK Jean: I love your well thought comment, it almost makes the rest of us smart by association.

Bella: How in the world did you find the time to visit my blog? You have more followers than some religious leaders.

The resemblance in the first two is uncanny, with one difference - Bardot had a womanly figure :)

Great pictures, nicely selected!
