What Do All Of These Women Have In Common?

The answer is: At one time or another in my life, I've been compared to each of these women. Not a bad bunch, really.
The hardest comparison for me was Princess Di. I was working for Chanel at the time of her death, and we had the same hair. People would feel compelled to tell me how they were grieving, as was I. My hairdresser dyed my hair and re-shaped it so I would be left alone.
Being compared to the "funny" ladies was always a great compliment for me, although I always wished someone would compare me to a really gorgeous woman, but that never happened. The closest I ever got to that was Cher, I've been told that I remind people of her when she was first with Sonny.
Go figure.

That's actually very revealing, the words I associate with those women are: caring, talented, individual, genuine, funny, strong and human ... all excellent qualities.

I KNEW there was a reason I think you're so great!

You really are indeed the best of all those women combined!

I've been eating mashed potatoes with sourcream & butter & chives religiously along with ice cream; it's a wonder that I lost one pound per day since my wisdom teeth were removed.

And sadly, I wasn't on pain meds as I wrote my begging post. I blame the ice cream.

Do enter my Current/Elliott jeans giveaway here (http://lacouturiernyc.wordpress.com/2009/07/25/a-one-year-celebration-giveaway/. Simply write your own "petite novella" (or short fashion fiction) about the outfit you/a character would wear incorporating those jeans & leave it in the comments! Have fun, be creative - you have a week! It can be a sentence long, or a few paragraphs! I would loooove to read your entry!

bisous,
La C.

La C: Every one I know who has had teeth removed has lost weight. It's the only good thing about it.
Thanks so much for the compliment and the invitation to write in the give a way. I was not going to enter, but upon your urging, I promptly did. I hope my little story does not disappoint.

Choo: It was painful enough for me when Princess Di passed away, I simply could not deal with people constantly coming up to me, nor was I capable in helping them with their grief. It was time to change my look.

Joanna J: Yes, you are right, these are all beautiful women and I feel bad for not feeling flattered in that manner. I grew up in the shadow of a best friend who was much prettier than me, so just once I would have liked to have been compared with someone like that.

Who cares that you haven't been compared to someone "gorgeous"? I think Keaton is an incredibly pretty woman, the Princess was as well as Cher....the point is you look great after all of these years and so do/did they

cool..when my mom married my dad she had a princess di's doo. She'd stayed up all night to watch the princess wedding she told me. And people told her she looke like Pat Benatar ( I think) which I don't even know what she sang..

Some very cool women.

Thanks for the note. Rachel is a bit out rageous I know. My grandmother used to do things like this. And we'd be..sure..and what was horrible when she'd actually be right some of the time.
